He has done just about everything there is possible to do in the telecom industry. Not only that, he has intensely and relentlessly been involved with all aspects of optical fibre communication networks since way back in 1984 and that being so, he has chalked up unaccustomed insight and veteran understanding into how fibre odds and ends work. He has also lectured at the University of KwaZulu-Natal on topics such as Telecommunication Networks, Management of Information Systems, E-commerce and currently, toddling along in teaching a handful of optical fibre and telecom interrelated courses.

Stephen Pointer

Brings more than 28 years of extensive telecom experience to the party and possesses a proven track record in the construction, service activation and maintenance of structured cabling solutions. He has been involved with the planning, installation, restoration and maintenance of fibre optic services and networks since 1984. When he is not at work, he can be found fishing, racing his off-road bike, hurting himself at the gym or doing a Jimi Hendricks impression on his guitar.

Piet Retief

He began his career in the telecom industry in 1984. While serving in this capacity, he gained specialist experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting and installation of high-capacity long and short-haul telecommunication equipment. He has led many optical projects from concept through design and deployment. He also has unmatched experience in the design and deployment of FTTH networks - leveraging P2MP or P2P solutions. Those are his skills and if you don't like them, don’t worry too much…he has many others.
